It was so grossly hot today that I decided to make this Earl Greyhound as a London Fog - some vanilla almond milk worked perfectly! - and it was delicious 🤤👏🏻
The vanilla really enhances the bergamot here, which comes through beautifully in the cold brewing. I liked it so much I wanted to make a second and third jar! Oh caffeine tolerance, why must you be so low?? 🤪😂🫖🍵🧊🩵
Pawsitive Brews deserves commendation for donating 50% of its profits to animal rescue. Consequently, consuming their tea aids in animal welfare.
Earl Grey Hound is a medium-bodied organic black tea featuring organic Bergamot oil. The black tea presents a smooth taste and is the primary flavor, accompanied by a moderate amount of Bergamot oil. It lacked excessive oiliness, which I prefer in Earl Grey teas. I sampled this tea both black and with cream and sugar. I preferred the latter, which yielded a richly flavored cup of tea. I found the tea to be revitalizing and recommend it for an afternoon indulgence.
This is an excellent earl grey!
I was able to try this three ways: hot, hot with milk, and cold-brewed. Right when I opened the pouch, I could smell the bergamot (which is always a great sign of a good earl grey). When brewed hot, this is a lovely earl grey—nice strong black tea with a flavorful amount of bergamot. Smooth, not bitter at all. I thoroughly enjoyed this with milk—which is usually my favorite way to have an earl grey. The milk really amped up the bergamot and made for an exceptionally tasty cup of tea. Delicious!
This tea held up so well as a cold brew—it didn’t lose the bergamot, but rather, it came through so well cold. This was a great refresher on a hot afternoon.
So delicious and highly recommended!
Opening the package the zesty aroma of bergamot is prominent. One of my favorite scent bases is bergamot. The bergamot in this tea is lovely and fragrant. I prepared the tea as directed for 5 minutes. I did not add any elements such as honey, sugar, lemon or milk, as I want to get the full flavor. This is a fantastic classic Earl Gray. The first taste is complex with citrus fruit and light floral flavors that are not sweet. This tea is flavorful all the way through the cup. Aside from the cute name, it's a really good cup of tea.
If there is always one thing I have liked the most about social media besides the wonderful people I have met in the tea community, is the many diverse tea companies I have had the privilege of learning about. For without social media it I never would have experienced Pawsitive Brews.
Pawsitive Brews is based out of Texas and every cup of tea you enjoy from them contributes to a greater cause — a lifeline for dogs in need. Their Earl Greyhound is yet another blend with a delightful play on words with a theme their company fully mission supports.
This is an organic classic blend of bold black tea with fragrant notes of bergamot. It is a wonderfully aromatic earl grey with a stronger citrus presence from the bergamot. I have always enjoyed earl grey blends where the earl grey has a stronger presence and this is one of those blends. It is a strong but wonderfully balanced tea and not overdone. It is in fact one of the better Earl Grey blends that I have discovered in a while.
I enjoyed sipping my cup straight while nibbling on a vanilla macaron. It would also pair well with dark chocolate, Creme Brulee or a citrus fruit taste.
I really have enjoyed my experiences with teas from Pawsitive Brews and plan to continue to buy from them in the future . They have a variety of wonderful sounding blends and I look forward to experiencing them.
